In a stinging rebuke to those questioning her history of distorting virtually every important news story of the past 7 years, Indian journalist{note to editor: please fact check words in red before publishing}Nidhi Razdan strongly denied that her Harvard saga was in any way emblematic of her trade.
I fully deny that my royally cataclysmic Harvard f***up is in any way an allegory for or symptomatic of my journalism.
Nidhi Razdan,Public Relations Executive, Mahagathbandhan, Journalist
Other than it not making sense on any level, let alone that of merit, Razdan was asked whether it seemed even remotely logical to resign from a long-term job and sign up as faculty at an Ivy League university, simply on the basis of a “phishing attack”. Even phone banking scams, she was reminded, had some incoherent twit talking nonsense at the other end of the phone.
Brushing aside the fact that engaging with a human being from Harvard – such as, perhaps, its president or head of faculty – would be normal prior to being offered such a role, Razdan blamed Prime Minister Modi for the entire episode. She further added that this perfectly regular oversight – which played out in slow motion over months – should not morph into a commentary on the calibre of her journalism.
Being completely and utterly devoid of attention to detail, elementary logic or an inherent predisposition to the scrutiny of hard facts is not at all fitting symbology of my journalism.
When asked whether she had applied the same standards when mercilessly smearing a decent man with the accusation of genocide, or glossing over the human rights of Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Jews, Buddhists, Hazaras, Yezidis, Coptic Christians, Parsis & other kafirs, Razdan added:
Please don’t be so intolerant. I’m about to cry.
At this point, 1,563 tweets miraculously appeared with variations of the same message – and with the same grammatical errors – framing India’s latest debate on Intolerance [Mk. 72].
