Maj. Gen. Harsha Kakar, an Indian Army veteran and renowned expert on strategic affairs spoke to Citti Media earlier this week. The General told us that taking over Afghanistan may seem an easy task, but, in reality, is a very complicated one. The Taliban can’t depend on barter trade anymore, for instance, and has to adjust to the realities of the 21st century. As far as threats to India are concerned, he added that it is not going to be easy for Pakistan-backed terror groups to easily infiltrate India anymore.
The Line of Control now has advanced, monitored fencing, and the Indian Army has stationed some of its best regiments in Kashmir. This was not the case a decade or two ago.
