A second Chinese government spokesperson today echoed earlier comments by a counterpart in the Ministry of Insatiable Expansionism, asserting that vast swathes of Punjab were Chinese territory, illegally occupied by India.
Moga, Patiala, Bhathinda, Ludhiana & Jalandhar, including, Model Town Market, have always been inalienable parts of China’s territory. India’s unwarranted aggression in creating new roads and infrastructure throughout Punjab, as well as setting up Amul kiosks everywhere, is a gross violation of the One-China principle.
Official Spokesperson, Ministry of Salami Slicing
At the ministry’s daily interactive press conference with foreign and independent journalists, when asked what credible evidence China had to make its latest territorial claims, the spokesperson cited numerous historical and cultural factors:
During the Ming dynasty, a Han trader travelled throughout Punjab, including Jalandhar, where he had lassi and aloo parathas at what is today known as Sadar Bazar. This, and the map he carried during his travels clearly prove that all of these territories belong to China. Also, there are so many Chinese restaurants in Punjab. It is therefore self-evident that these territories are part of China.
When challenged by Indian, Taiwanese, Japanese, American, Filipino, Indonesian, Malay, Singaporean, Vietnamese, Russian, South Korean, Loa, Cambodian, Bruneian, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Mongolian, Burmese, Kazakh, Tajik, Kyrgyzstani, Afghan and Tibetan journalists on why the NT-PRC had so many territorial and maritime disputes with so many countries, the spokesperson fired back:
The Not The People’s Republic of China has no territorial ambitions or disputes other than on our Eastern, Western, Northern, Southern, South Eastern, North Eastern, South Western and North Western borders, and in the South China Sea, East China Sea, Philippine Sea, Sea of Japan, Yellow Sea, Camotes Sea, Celebes Sea, Gulf of Thailand, Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. So please stop exaggerating. We are a peaceful nation, and have nothing in common whatsoever with the Third Reich.
Meanwhile, it is understood that China has invited its two closest allies, North Korea and Pakistan, to deliver keynote speeches at its annual summit on advancing human rights, religious freedom, and peaceful co-existence.
